Septic Issues Committee
Currently a member since 2008, Chair since 2010
The Septic Issues Committee was formed on an idea from the Snohomish Health District and letters were sent out by SHD for interest in the formation of the SIC. SHD was ready to address several on-site issues in Snohomish County and wanted input from the local industry professionals.
The SIC is an Ad-Hoc committee with no formal appointment by the SHD. SIC agreed later to add some more structure and assigned a chair to head up the organization of the Committee. The members serve 1 year, 2 year, and 3 year terms and the members consist of 3 designers, 3 installers, 3 pumpers, and 3 SHD staff.
The mission of the SIC is to provide SHD with information pertaining to current on-site issues and introduce ways to help the industry solve those issues. The workshops the SIC has put on so far has been a collaboration between the SIC and SHD. SHD provides the facility and the SIC creates and organizes the workshops. The SIC meets at the Snohomish Health District the fourth Friday of every month from 7-9 AM.
